The Mzantsi Jazz Awards, an annual event dedicated to recognising and celebrating excellence in Jazz music within South Africa, is set to return for its ninth edition on Wednesday, 30 August.
This prestigious event will take place at the University of Johannesburg Arts Center (UJ) on the 30th of August.
The Mzantsi Jazz Awards seeks to honour the significant role that the genre plays in the South African music industry, emphasising its ability to uplift and heal both artists and jazz enthusiasts. Additionally, the awards aim to promote the development of jazz musicians and to showcase emerging talent.
Every year, musicians, music recording companies, radio stations, clubs, and jazz venues participate in this celebration of jazz.
